Wendy has been a Licensed Massage Practitioner since 1997 and a licensed acupuncturist since 2012. She received her principal acupuncture training in a Five Element Acupuncture School.
Currently, Wendy is a member of the volunteer organization Acupuncture Without Borders. In April, 2014, she volunteered her services for the Oso, Washington mudslide disaster relief to aid rescue workers, survivors, and community members.
In July-August, 2014 Wendy helped connect acupuncturists to begin relief efforts for the communities affected by Carlton Complex fire in Eastern Washington.

As a competitive swimmer, cyclist and runner in high school, I had my first experience with traditional physical therapy, which, in her case, was delivered with significant cross-fiber frictional force by the practitioner. After several agonizing treatments I found myself asking, “How is this healing” ? Logically and intuitively it seemed counterproductive. There must be a better way!

Wendy BeckerIn college at Humboldt State University, where I eventually became a Hall of Fame runner, I continued to push my body’s limits. After workouts that resulted in extreme leg pain, I sought out a massage therapist. Over the course of several sessions, I added back, arms, neck, and shoulders to the treatment and found a profound sense of relaxation and reconnection to my whole body and sense of well-being. This experience introduced my mind and heart to another path to healing. I decided it was my calling to learn this work.

I also spent time as a National Park Service Ranger in law enforcement, fire and emergency medical/rescue, where I learned injury triage.

My background also includes time as a Certified USA Triathlon Level II Coach training athletes from beginner level to Olympic hopefuls. In the past 35 years, I’ve also participated as either a student or instructor in 5-Rhythms, dance, and aerobic dance; yoga, martial arts, summer & winter biathlon, duathlon, and triathlon.

Wendy Becker,Certified USA Triathlon Olympic hopefulsI am grateful for the support of family, friends, and patients, who have helped to make my practice possible over years, presently, and in the future.

The Success of one depends on the collaborative efforts of many.
